
The programme involves a two-day immersive conference hosted at Workday which features leadership stories, career skills workshops, design-thinking challenges and team shadowing.
Participants partake in problem-solving, teamwork and networking activities. Participants in their penultimate year in third level can apply for a six-month internship, with the potential for full-time roles upon graduation.
FFIT has seen female intern numbers at Workday go from 6% to a high of 58% female interns in 2020. This is now reflected in their 2023/24 graduate programme which has a ratio of 68% female graduates.
Workday has also increased female representation since launching their VIBE strategy, where they have seen a 2.5% increase in female representation at the director level in Ireland and a 2.3% increase in EMEA.
Globally Workday’s employees 58.2% male to 41.8% female, exceeding industry standards. In tech roles, the ratio is 61.5% male to 38.4% female, again above global and national averages.
