Welcome
We are delighted to welcome all of our guests to today’s Thanksgiving Lunch, hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland.
AmCham’s annual Thanksgiving Lunch provides an opportunity for over 700 members and friends to come together and celebrate this important American holiday. It will also serve as an invaluable opportunity for networking and an exchange of insights with industry peers.
AmCham is delighted to share that its Guest of Honour is Michael McGrath TD, Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, who will deliver a keynote address this afternoon. During our Thanksgiving Day celebrations, we will also hear from AmCham President Catherine Duffy, have insightful discussions about the many benefits that US investment has brought to Ireland, and we will be treated to some wonderful live music.
The theme of AmCham’s Thanksgiving Lunch is “Giving Thanks,” and we would encourage all of our attendees to reflect upon what they have been grateful for in 2023, whether it be personal or professional achievements.
Today, we will celebrate and are thankful for the role our members and their teams play in their local comunity and the positive impact they have on the global community.
The last time we gathered in this room to celebrate Thanksgiving was in November 2019. The Covid-19 pandemic has profoundly affected all of us and as we celebrate today, we also remember those that we lost to Covid and we are so thankful for our frontline workers and the voluntary sector for the tireless sacrifices they have made over the past three years.
AmCham would like to thank all of our members for their continued support and wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving.
We hope you enjoy your day!
Mark Redmond, CEO
