The key achievement of the project was the development and implementation of a new recyclable Pringles tube made of 90% paper. The team invested over €100 million in new technology to successfully address the issue of non-recyclable waste while maintaining the same high standards of product freshness and protection as the original packaging, all while preserving the iconic Pringles identity!

This project has already diverted over 200 million Pringles tubes from landfill, underscoring the progress Kellanova Europe is making in its packaging recyclability strategy, while setting a positive example for Pringles consumers, customers, and the wider community in terms of sustainability. Additionally, the project has received accolades from both environmental organisations and industry bodies.

The Project Monty team, in collaboration with the global Kellanova organisation headquartered in Chicago, has made significant contributions to US-Ireland relations through economic collaboration, innovation, cultural exchange, and a commitment to sustainability and inclusion. Working as one team, Kellanova is proudly creating Better Days for Customers, Consumers, and the Planet.

The new Pringles tube is now available in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Ireland, with the roll-out continuing across Europe.
